Deadpool is Nobody's Hero

By

Doctor Deadpool

Most times I'm not a hero
Because the things I do
Ain't considered heroic
But there are a few

I'm a hero to the sick
Who will never be well
Who suffer each day
In a living hell

I'm a hero to the ugly
Who stare down their peers
Do what they want
Despite the cold jeers

I'm a hero to those souls
Those who are drenched in their sins
With cold hardened hearts
That will never be clean

I'm not a hero
But I stand for something
If only the doomed and the damned
I'm nobody's hero.
Just a short poem that should help illuminate some things about Deadpool. I'm hardly a master poet, but I still think it's pretty good. Feel free to give me a few pointers!

Shit. That was amazing dude. I haven't ever seen something like this for Deadpool. But this is all true. He's not much of a hero, but you can tell he at least tries. He's not a hero, nor a villain. He just wants to be there to try and show what he can do, if its either good or bad normally bad. But there's few times when he has sympathy on others, and that's what makes him what he is. He can be nice. Or rude, and he tries acting like some tough guy, but he just has a rough time with it.

It may lead one to wonder if there's a connecting thread with Deadpool, and in the beginning there wasn't. But now? It's all about inner conflict. Deadpool wrestles with good and bad impulses. Sometimes he falls on one side, sometimes the other. And his horrible life is(partly) the consequence of his bad decisions. He's not Wolverine- he can't kill a ton of dudes and say, "Okay guys, I swear this is the last one."

Yeah. All my friends say that he's a bad guy, when really he just means well. Whenever he tries being good, he either gets framed, or just can't do it without doing something wrong. Plus, it doesn't help to have two voices in your head, a good one and a bad one-- er..... a good one and a stupid one....-_- trust me. I'd know. So, normally it isn't always his fault for being the bad guy. And when he does try to be the good guy, he still gets judged. Thats one of the reasons why I made my own Marvel character, one that has sympathy for Deadpool.

The extra voice was actually revealed to be another character stuck inside Deadpool's head. Madcap, if you're curious. Source: Deadpool Annual #1.

Anyway, Deadpool's morality isn't really a question of good and evil. You've pretty much got it, but I'd like to add that he does bad things for good reasons and good things for bad reasons. There is no doubt he's flawed and morally ambiguous, but he is also vulnerable(a trait that a lot of "OMG I'M SO BADASS" characters need) and DEEP DOWN he's a true hero.

So, want tell me about your Marvel character?

Me and my friends consider Deadpool as some sort of "glitch".

And sure.
Her name is Victoria Ashheart, and when she first met Deadpool, she was a little girl, and he killed her parents because they were framed of murder. She threatened to kill him, but when she was 18, she met him again. She did her best to forgive him for killing her parents. Since her parents were abusive anyways. Plus, her eyes are completely white because she was almost beat to death.

You and your friends aren't wrong, but I think that's true of all characters really. A little bit of accident has to be involved to create something truly great.

I like your character, but would you mind a little advice?

Change last name(ex. Victoria Hart?) and take away the bit where her family was abusive- Deadpool doesn't need to justify his actions PLUS having normal parents makes it all the more impressive that she's able to forgive him.
